I really love the natural cedar scent — it gives the whole house a fresh, cozy feel, almost like a cedar closet. The cushion is soft and comfortable, and the overall design looks beautiful in my home.
Assembly took a bit of patience, but once everything was set up, it came together nicely. The structure feels lightweight, which actually makes it easy to move around if needed.
My dog tried it right away and seemed comfortable inside. I think it’s a great fit for small dogs or smaller pets who enjoy having their own cozy space.
First of all, this little dog/cat house smells so good! Like a cedar closet. The little cushion seems to be infused with a eucalyptus scent as well. The whole effect is very pleasant. I like the size and color of this unit as well.The quality, however, leaves a bit to be desired. Mine has a large crack running across the top and although there weren't very many pieces to assemble, the process was awkward. The pieces attach together with wood screws without pilot holes in the receiving piece, so you really have to crank them in. The panels are light and delicate so I think these would be easy to accidently break during assembly. The pieces are also not that easy to align and I ended up have to redo mine three times before I had it right, which was a little frustrating. The base in mine never did quite sit square, but I think it's because I didn't get the side panels completely aligned. Oh well. Overall, it feels very light weight and not very sturdy for the money. The paint is also not very good quality and I wouldn't call it furniture grade, but perhaps it's some type of eco-friendly paint. The company seems to be very environmentally conscious and I appreciated that there was very little packaging that wasn't recyclable. The included literature states that they will plant a cedar tree for every unit sold.I also wanted to note that it really does say the company name on that name plate on the front, which is pretty ugly. You could probably sand that part off, though. The cushion is well made and very soft.My dog tried it out and seemed to like it, but it's for the cat and she's too big anyway. The cat has not yet gone in there, which leads me to believe that maybe a small breed dog would like this better than a cat would.
This dog house is so cute. My Annabelle l8ves it. She is always in it, her choice. Highly recommended this. Very happy with it. I keep it in the house.
This raised pet house is great. I didn’t expect much because of the low price, But was pleasantly surprised. It sturdy, easy to assemble and attractive. Would definitely recommend it!!
I ordered this indoor doghouse because I thought it would be super cute to use as a photo prop with my puppies, but it has ended up being a pet favorite. I have 3 miniature poodles and they love it. There’s rarely a time that there isn’t one of them in it. I really didn’t think that an indoor doghouse would be a thing, but it turns out that it is. It really didn’t take very long to put it together, maybe 30 minutes or less. I try to be very methodical, so it probably took me longer to put it together than most people. I like to lay everything out, check all of my parts, read over the instructions and then start. The instructions are passable considering the number of parts. I can’t say that it’s well explained, however, they really didn’t need to be. It’s very easy to tell which parts go where, it’s just a matter of screwing it together. There are pilot holes drilled on the overlayed pieces, but not the piece that it’s being affixed to. The wood is soft and lightweight, so it isn’t overly difficult to screw into. That said, they recommend using a cordless screwdriver, which I did. The caveat is that care should be used because it would be very easy to overtighten to the point of damaging the wood. I opted to use my cordless to almost reach the final point then finish tightening with a hand tool because I didn’t trust myself. Once completed it feels reasonably sturdy. I like that it’s a lighter wood because that keeps the doghouse from being difficult to manage, it’s easier to move and clean around. The cushion is soft and comfortable. As I mentioned, it more than has our poodles seal of approval. The brand name is preprinted on what would normally be the dog’s nameplate over the door. I can understand why they did that, however, I really felt that it should have been more personalized to our dogs and family. It would have been a bit nicer if it had been left blank and maybe included lettering that could have been used to personalize it. I ended up using my Cricut to cover the name plate with our last name, but not everyone has that ability, so note to seller/manufacturer: customers would like this better if left blank or given the option to personalize. We are loving this doghouse. We’ve received lots of compliments from friends and family too. Nice addition to our home.

My (and my dogs) favorite thing about this product is the bed it comes with! It's soft, thick and very supportive. Its one of their new favorite beds.Setting it up has not been easy! There are no pre-drilled holes, and some of the walls were harder to put up than others. The wood also has a very strong odor. It seems to be quality-made, sturdy wood.It's a great size for small dogs. My dogs like sleeping in a house; it makes them feel secure, and this gives them room to turn and stretch.I don't think it's overpriced for what you're getting, but it is definitely a luxury buy.

Good quality doghouse for a decent price. We already have 2 other doghouses of the same brand for about 2 years and they are just like this new one. It’s sturdy and our dogs love them.Also easy to assemble.
It is made out of plastic. However it does seem to be somewhat weatherproof. I use it as an outdoor house for some stray cats that sometimes need shelter. Seems pretty tough pretty easy to put together.

This dog house is so nice. The materials are sturdy and well-built. I unboxed and assembled it by myself in less than 10 minutes. It looks good and is exceptionally functional. We also purchased the insulation accessory separately and I'm so excited to have this wonderful dog house for our puppies this winter. If it holds up half as well as it assembled and looks it's going to be one of my all-time favorite purchases.

Comes fully assembled right out the box. Such a breeze to setup and it’s very well constructed. I love the how the roof is weather proof and opens from the top which makes it easy to access the inside.My 25lb dog fits comfortably inside with a few toys and a blanket. We put his new home on our front porch. It provides him a hiding place to lay low while he waits for us to come home.I was a bit unsure if he would actually use it at all but he loves it. He usually spends 20-45 minutes inside and then leaves for a little bit to walk around the yard or sun bathe. Then, he’ll head right back inside.All in all, I’m very happy with this purchase. Great price and quality. Highly recommend!
I purchased the small size Eillo folding wood pet house for outdoor feral cats. It appears sizable for several cats, if they want to be in the pet house together.Pros: Very easy to assemble. Just fold out the sides, drop the bottom, and close the lid! Added feature is leveling feet for uneven surfaces. The unit is attractive and has a pleasant cedar fragrance, cute design, and sizable entry. The roof hinge system allows the top to swing open ~270 degrees for easy access/cleaning.Cons: The unit is not insulated and the wood is thin. Gaps at the bottom of the walls where they meet the floor will be "breezy". Although the finish is an attractive grey with white trim and sun motif, it is minimal and this will deteriorate outdoors in probably a season (depending on if the unit is protected or not).Suggestions:1. Insulate the unit for cold weather use. I used Pink Panther 1/2" rigid insulation on the bottom and lined the interior walls with double sided, reflective bubble type sheets. The rigid insulation was easily cut with a box cutter, while the reflective bubble type, flexible sheet was cut using scissors. Duck Tape sealed the seams. Any soft bedding (old towels, bath mat, moving pad, etc.) can be used for the occupants.2. The slightly angled roof is covered with 3 long shingles. It appears durable, but is untested. Covering the unit with a tarp may be beneficial depending on location (protected vs not protected).3. Spray or paint the exterior with a sealant to protect the finish and increase the life of the unit.4. The door opening to the small pet house measures 9 1/2" x 13" at greatest height. A clear, flexible, flap-type covering can be purchased according to other reviews for this product (Trixie brand). Verify door size opening prior to purchasing any type of covering.5. Struts to hold open the roof could be useful, if there is nothing near by to brace the top when it is open. I suggest two on either side rather than a single strut in the middle for the small pet house, so as not to interfere with the interior space.
After reading the product details and reviews I felt this was the perfect doghouse for my beloved dog. I purchased the doghouse for large dogs. My dog is an 80 lb. dog. It arrived as promised by Amazon. I am a petite woman so I did have to ask my exterminator man to bring the package upstairs so I could unpack the box to place the doghouse where I wanted to put it. It was very easy to unpack and setup. I also purchased the insulation kit which was very easy as well to setup. I was really happy with my purchase and wanted to share my purchase with Social Media and made a post along with a picture of my happy dog. On my Social Media post I had 2 of my friends that had purchased the exact same doghouse who were not happy with the doghouse for the amount of money they paid because both stated the bottom fell out of the doghouse. I wasn’t that concerned and was still happy with my purchase as was my dog. However, last night the bottom fell out of my doghouse as well. Today, I am trying to figure out the best way to repair the floor in the doghouse. The problem lyes in the fact that when the doghouse floor is let down to secure it, there is only a small lip for it to sit on with no other reinforcement. I believe having small “L” shape brackets on the sides and front would alleviate the problem with the floor falling through. That’s my plan to correct the design flaw for this particular doghouse. Something the designer should take note and correct especially for the cost of the doghouse. My dog absolutely loves his new doghouse so I must make corrections to ensure he is happy!!!! I am positive that this has happened to other buyers and if the manufacturer has a remedy I would certainly like to know about it or if a repair kit is available I would like to know about it.
We bought this for a stray we adopted, an elder beagle, who literally entered the house while we were still setting it up- an exceptionally easy process. Not a single tool needed. If our beagle had opposable thumbs he could have done it himself! So no problem there. But the interior tended to get wet whenever it rained... As other reviewers have noted, the floor slats allow a good deal of air and moisture to enter and we ended up insulating it with a roll of Reflectix Double Insulation which helps also with the sudden bouts of windy chilly weather we can have here in Virginia. While measuring for insulation we noted that the walls are not completely level, which reflects the slight shoddiness of the construction and materials. We added a Trixie Pet Door for a cheap and easy fix but that really REALLY spooked him and it took a couple of weeks and a lot of coaxing and improvising to get him inside once the door was added. But it worked. The roof overhang is too narrow and we will need to address that at some point. But it flips up which makes cleaning a real breeze.In short: Great value but takes some effort to make it a great home. A sturdy as expected for the price, super easy to assemble and the design is okay but with the drawbacks of insufficient weatherproofing.
The best thing about it is no assembly required. I simply unpacked it and it was ready to be used. My dog loves it! I got the XL size and my dog is 90 lbs and it still has extra room that my other little dog 15 lbs sometimes gets inside with my bog dog. It’s also very easy to carry it around. It easily fits inside my car truck when it’s folded, so I could have my relatives watch the dog without being worried where she sleeps. It also is lifted, so it won’t sit on the ground, so I’m never worried if its rainy and water gets in. It’s has waterproof roof which i can easily open and close it for cleaning and during summer time i leave it open for extra fresh and cooler air to gets in. Definitely recommend it!
The unit was very easy to assemble and looks great on the front porch. Charlie loves it too :)The winters get cold here... somewhere between 30 to -30 degrees at times and I wanted the stray cats to have another option to stay warm. I am not sure if they will use this doghouse... I might have to put in an escape door to the side which I am told feral cats prefer to. However, Charlie to whom I have adopted loves the house (he's a cat who demands to go outside nightly).I also bought some used military camping mats (closed cell foam) and lined the inside of the house for greater warm. I measured all sides and nailed each piece to the inside walls, including floor and ceiling. I had noticed that after assembly (which most anyone can do... very simple) the floor boards had a bit of space between them which could make it cold. After placing the cell foam to all sides inside, I placed a dog bed for added warmth which I found at Ollies at a very reasonable price.
